So Help Me Jesus Now
Every day now before we eat,
We bow our heads and pray,
Gods blessings make everything sweet,
What could be cheaper pay?

Gas, strength and sunshine, air and rain,
That blesses all our sphere
Has showered our table once again,
As it has all the year.

But what gets me is what to say,
To thank God half enough,
His graciousness sustains my way,
And softens what is tough.

The God that fills the sparrows bill,
And feeds the fish at sea,
Has stopped today my cup to fill,
And thinks today of me.

And so I’ll eat and live for him,
That’s all that I know how,
I’ll serve him if I sink or swim,
With shoulder to the plow.
So help me Jesus now.
